Hi Girls! First, I want to apologize for being MIA lately. I was out sick yesterday after the party so I didn't get a chance to do my review! Here is a link to my photo album to see all the photos... I'll do a little review.
First, if you are thinking of doing an engagement party, DO IT! It was so much fun. We had it at his firehouse and it was a great time!
The best success was the sangria - FH made it and everyone loved it. It was flowing and we had to send out for some more sangria wine - we went through 6 gallons! The beverage dispenser that I bought also rocked and it was great! It stained a little but it was awesome.
The food was great - but I didn't eat! The crowd was kicking and my friends and family (and his too!) were so generous. It was a great mix and now I feel like our wedding is going to be awesome.
I went with my flower guy in LIC, but the quality wasn't that good. But I think my centerpieces came out ok nonetheless. The perfect pair theme was in effect and everyone loved my favors (the pear candles). The weather was awesome and except for an overturned vehicle on Route 80, everyone got there and home ok. I was so honored to have friends and fam come see me!

it sounds like you had a great time. everything looked great. where did you find that cute poem that you put in the cards for the brides maids??? we should make this the 'review' thread for our engagement party. i will post some of my pictures as soon as i scan them. well congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Salsbride: I made up the poem after seeing some others... the moh poem was a bit different and it was the original...but i liked it.
KandM: Actually, I don't really like kids all that much (is that evil?) so I'm not having them at my wedding.... no flowergirls! someone once told me that if you want all the attention on yourself, then you don't have kids in the wedding party - shallow, but unfortunately, i agree for me!! too nervous of crying kids or screaming or something!

Thanks - I really think that I should. The cards were great and I think I could totally do it - I could make them personalized, etc.
Hmm... how much would you pay for cards like those??? I wonder how much they cost me to make...
does someone smell a part time job for me?
