I'm home! Here's my long review w/a few pics
We tried to work with people we know, or were personally referred to us. Over all I'm thrilled with everyone we chose & I'm glad we were able to help their businesses grow. I'm going to list everyone I can think of.
Invitations-our dear friend Kim is a Carlson Craft Rep & I found something I loved, I knew that I would write my own wording & I'm glad I didn't go over bugdet. 10+
Calligraphy on invitations-Favorite Things. Rebecca is the sweetest & great to work with. My list was a mess & she really helped to calm me down.
Very affordable. 10+
My dress-bridal suite in Bay Shore, my expirience was not good, 5 fittings with problems every time. I felt that everyone there was pacifying me & rolling their eyes when they turned their heads. I think my dress was 'high end' for that store & I was VERY disapointed w/them. My Bustle broke 2 seconds after we put it up so we saftey pinned it which needed to be fixed 100 times. 4
My Mom's dress-Adrianne's in Islip, I think the dress was overpriced, I read horror stories on here about them but my Mom's dress was stunning & she felt great about them. 10
MOH dress-Bridal suite in Patchogue. She ordered it kinda late & it came in early. I didn't think their service was great but it turned out great(alterations done elsewhere). 10
Flowergirl dress-David's Bridal off the rack-it needed over $100 in alterations done elsewhere to make it fit because the sales people their didn't sell me the right size. 5
Ingrid's Alterations in Setauket(MOH & FG)both great & timely my FG's dress needed ALOT of work & it was perfect. 10
Shoes-Sandy's Shoes. I got FG, Mom's & mine there. And my Mom's purse. They dyed my Mom's shoes twice-both awful. When I brought the second pair back the owner was TOTALLY nasty to me.
Anyone who is nasty to me gets a bad grade. 1
My mother got a different pair at Casa _____ In Patchogue & they were great. 10
My Veil and headpiece-Patchogue Fantasyland. One of my best bargains-I'm so glad I went there. My entire set-up was less than $100 & ready in a week.
I also got some last minute favor boxes & stuff there. 10+
Tuxes-White Tie in Holbrook. My Hubby is not a shopper & this was the first place we went to that had what we wanted. We should have kept shopping, the Tuxes looked a little worn(only to me I'm sure)Hubby says his shirt was the wrong size. I think they could have been better. 7
Limos-This vendor is a patient of mine & is great at what she does. 'call me a limo' is the company name. If you have a small wedding party(she only has two cars) or need airport cars(we provided airport cars for all Hubby's OOT relatives) Very reasonalbly priced & truly loves what she does.
When we got back in her car today at the airport she had flowers for me & a photo album of pictures she took(she loves photography) On time, very clean cars & sooo sweet. 10+
