Yes, you feed your vendors and I'm pretty sure it's always during dinner, but some places do it differently, like some places set up a vendor table in the reception room and some let them eat in a different room. You should check with your RH.

I think they eat in shifts (MC eats while DJ manages the music etc) but I don't know where. I assume there is some place set up for them in the back? That's a good question - I'll have to ask at my tasting!

Many vendors require a hot meal for events over a certain amount of time (usually 6 hours, but sometimes 4 hours).
If you don't provide one, it will often state in the contract that you will be billed an additional $XX depending on the occasion and region.
Photographers will typically eat while everyone else is eating. It makes most sense since no one likes having their photo taken with food in their mouth.
Other vendors, like DJs eat in shifts during dinner/cocktail hour.
A lot of couples set up a small vendor table in a corner. Others have them eat in the back. Commonly vendor meals are 50% what a regular head costs.
