there's a restaurant called coconuts that has great food. i can't remember where on kauai t is though. sorry. there were also some good japanese places but they needed reservations and we didn't have them. have fun. it's a beautiful place.

I am so jealous!!!!! Sensai is a great sushi restaurant. If you are anywhere near the safeway supermarket, they have the best sushi to go there.

The beach house is AMAZING. it is near the poipu resort area if you're anywhere near there. It is traditional hawaiin food. If you're not near there, check out this site.
I'm jealous-loved Kauai!!!! The Hyatt-there are 2 restaurants, Tidepools and Dondero's. Both have food that is out of this world!!! They get booked up quickly so try to make reservations

I second the Beach House and Dukes. Go early to Dukes for their prime rib...you get a HUGE piece with unlimited salad bar for around $20-25 (I can't remember the exact price).
Definitely do a helicopter ride while you're there. Worth every penny. It's the perfect island to do it because so much of it is still pristine! I have some pics from my helicopter ride in my honeymoon album.

yes, definitely do the beach house! Also, I didn't realize before you were asking about other things to do. If you are staying at Poipu, take a drive around the entire island, it is soooo beautiful at the north side. Just drive back before sunset, it is scary to drive on some of the roads in the dark. I also highly recommend zip lining with the company Just Live. It was so much fun and they were great to be with, fun and professional.

there is a bbq place right down the block from coconuts on the opposite side..... out of this world.... zipline.... whale foundation dinner cruise.... raft excurison kauai tours.... and BLUE HAWAIAN helicopter tour a little pricey but amazing..... TIDEPOOLS filet is out of this world at the hyatt.... and if you have the guts jump off the cliff outside the hyatt... probaly the craziest thing i have done in my life..... buut sooo much fun... enjoy it!!!!

The Beach House...its amazing! I actually currently live in Waikiki on Oahu but visit frequently to Kaui. ENjoy!
