im in the hospital - update

After getting diagnosed with an ulcer last night I was still in a lot of pain. Stayed home from work bc I still felt nauseas. Fh stayed with me. Well about 3hrs ago I was double uped in pain and shaking. So now I'm in the hospital having tests done to find out if its an ulcer, gall bladder issue or something else. Ahhhhhhh!!

Update - Not the gall bladder. they sent me home with anti nausea meds and instructions to see a gastro doctor. Nothing for the pain. And of course specialists don't have weekend hours.

My mom had episodes like that and it turned out it was her gall bladder...they went in (pretty non-invasively) and took it out and she's been soooo much better since. The surgery really wasn't a huge deal, but she did have to take time off work...she called it her 'surgication' lol.

If it is your gall bladder, I've had mine removed. They **** it out right through your belly button!

My gall bladder issue is a little different. I let it go for way too long. About 2 years after getting attacks here and there, it gradually got worse and by the end of it, I couldn't even eat a piece of bread without getting an attack. When I had it taken out, I was in the hospital for a week because of the infection. This is NOT the norm though so if it turns out to be your gall bladder, take a lesson from me and don't wait too long to get it taken care of.
