Who can marry us and does anyone recommend anyone in particular?

You can have both a priest and a rabii or you can have a non-denominational person, or an interfaith ceremony. You have many options!

You could use a justice of the peace.
You could use an interfaith minister.

My brother is Jewish and my sister in law is Catholic and they used a Reform Rabbi AND an Episcopalian Minister. The Rabbi did his thing UNDER the chuppah and the minister did his thing in FRONT of the chuppah. It was appropriate and lovely. My brother would not get married in a Church out of respect to my parents and his children. They had many customs from both faiths and it was very appropriate. I even did a reading from the Old Testament as I do not follow the New Testament.

Thank you...
We actually decided not to use a priest or a rabbi..we are trying to go as non-religious as possible. What is a non-denominational person??

Non-denominational...... It isn't about religion.... it is about love. (I believe)

But where does love come from? God maybe? Just thought I'd mention it. My sister is Catholic, brother-in-law is Jewish. They were married by both a priest and rabbi, with the priest officiating. This way the marriage is recognized by both faiths and no one had to denounce anything. I guess it depends on what is important to you.
Good luck to you!

I am in the same situation. We are using an interfaith minister- Rev. Debra Viola, she's a vendor on here, and we loved her.
We are having the ceremony at the reception hall.

I am also in that position. I know of two rabbis that do it. Rabbi Applestone in Massapequa and Rabbi Honegsberg. Can get you the info if you want. I think the rabbis will refer you to priests they work with.

We are of 2 different faiths as well I'm jewish he's catholic We booked interfaith union from liw's we did'nt pick out a religious ceremony, it was spiritual with custums from each side. Both parents even went to meet with them and they are thrilled. (we had to let our parents meet them as well, they are paying for them)

Rev Janine Burns...I highly recommend her. She is fantastic and makes the ceremony very personal but will add as much or as little religion as you want as well.
