I believe so....but I have no where to go. My family is in Queens but I dont want to leave my place and come home to a surprise.
DH's family are in Freeport on the actual water, their in a worst situation than we are.

eta: Our good friends called us so we can stay over their house, they just bought a generator but their also in Freeport and their on the water too. I'm so confused.

I said this too and people think I'm crazy for staying home alone just to make sure nothing happens to my apartment (not that I could prevent a damn thing)....it just makes me feel better knowing whats going on than going to stay with someone and guess all night

Yep, thanks god I have insurance and I just called and said they will cover anything and everything. wheeeee

I just got apartment insurance 2 weeks ago

Hopefully I won't need it but it's good to know it's there if I do

CAt....I think you need an alternate plan to your friends in freeport.

Mandotry evacuation from queens to merrick south of sunrise hwy by 5 pm

My parents are in baldwin south of sunrise...so will have to go somewhere

ugh i just got off the phone with my mom. she said they said mandatory evacuation in her area everyone needs to be out by 8 am she said shes not leaving because the evacuation place wont let her bring the dog. She is calling some people in the middle of the island so hopefully all goes well but...

what do they expect you to do with your animals leave them in the house alone
