the coupon is in just about every Sunday's Newsday. Sometimes it's in the news section of the Saturday edition, but mostly likely the coupon section on Sunday

I am not a Newsday subscriber...I just get the SmartSource coupons and the supermarket flyers. Does anyone want to share their coupon with me?

Claud, lots of times, if im at Michaels and I dont have the coupon with me, I just say 'I forgot my coupon' and the nice lady at the register doesnt even give me a chance to finish my sentence and says 'OH, NO PROBLEM!' and they just scan their own coupon...

Of course for one item only, but it works almost all the time. Of course when I HAVE the coupon with me, I dont know what to buy

Try that, it should work. I also dont think Im using this week's coupon, since the week is almost up. (its good till Saturday). I plan on running a few errands Sat morning if you want to meet me somewhere.
(and just keep the 'forgot my coupon' thing in mind for future visits there )

PS-Its SOOO WORTH subscribing to Newsday. I dont remember the rate we got, but it was SOOO INEXPENSIVE that with all the grocery coupons I get alone, its well worth the price.
If I remember correctly something like $2-$3 per week?? (could be wrong) I cant remember exactly because we paid a year lump sum price. Getting the weekend only (thats all I really care about) was even more than the 'deal' we got for the week. I'll find out if they still offer the deal. I called and got my brother the deal months after we got the flyer...

Anna - I wish all cashiers at Michael's were nice! If they're cranky they won't let you use theirs More often than not it does work, but for large purchases I don't rely on them.

Claud - if you want, just go out and buy the Sunday paper - it's worth it for the coupon



One other note - the coupon only works on full priced items - the last time I was there I saved a measely .60 cents because everything else was on sale!
