I was looking for the same thing. Howeveer, my grandmother recently passed away and she left me a giant cocktail ring (Not exactly my taste) but I'm having it made into a necklace for the wedding. Best of Luck

Marcella, i am not sure what you mean by alternative but I love this website for inexpensive unique fun stuff. I bough some jewerly pieces for girls in a bridal party as shower favors when my MOH was getting married and everyone loved them.

The designer Maria Elena has beautiful pieces, its very antique looking. I tried on a few pieces at Klienfelds.

Marcella I know a great jewelry designer that will custom make anything you want in any color you want. Not cheap looking costume stuff...all very high quality. FM me if you want her info. She's in NJ but will travel anywhere to show her stuff! She came to my office with her whole line one day during lunch!

Marcella, did you look at glamgal.com? Also some of the things you've mentioned can be occasionally found at Macy's and other dept. stores. If you go to the big macy's on 34th, try the Monet, Liz Claiborne, 1928 counters, and also there is some nice things at Carollee.
