Just start by making appointments with places that you like.
Check out the vendor page on this website.

First off... Congrats on the engagement!!!!!! I see you're new by the low post count

You will find a ton more info on here than you will get from any of your friends.... This is a network of 1000's of friends!!! You wont believe how much you're gonna learn from this site!!!!

Well of course do your hw on reception halls. Try to narrow down your search so you dont have to visit too many RH's (I believe it will just make you more confused) Simply type in a RH in the serach function on this site and see what other girls have to say about it... If you check out the Brides Review board, you will see all their reviews of all their vendors they used (with pics!!! )

Find out by searchin online what you would like in a RH... like do you prefer a more intimate setting where you are the only wedding they are having... or do you prefer the big gala events?? Are you having a ceremony in a church or outside at the RH? Does the RH accomodate your needs...

I have narrowed it down to about 5 places I want to see based on my taste & price range... Def do this b/c seeing 10-15 RH's will prob make you insane... Once you have narrowed it all down... ask specific questions to the girls on here and we'll be more than happy to try to help ya out

Re: I'm lost!!!!!

Also do not worry about other vendors at this time... We all have quite a ways to go... Focus on one project at a time... Just get the RH and date booked and then move onto another vendor

As for me, I plan on visiting...
Leonards
Swan Club
Sans Souci
Bridgeview
Douglaston Manor

So I will get everyone prices asap!!!

I had my prom there actually and FH was my bf at the time

Me & FH have this thing about having our wedding at a place where everyone & their mother (literally my mother) has had their wedding... Its also pretty pricey so I really thing we're going to skip the place. Too close to my house... it wouldnt feel like its a wedding for me... if that makes any sense!
I like the Surf Club (RH on that Davenport Ave strip), but FH shot me down... hes been there... tons of fam have been there... so its a no go
