I posted earlier in the week that I went dress shopping and I think I found THE DRESS, but I didnt have a picture of it b/c the dress shop told me it was their own design. snowprincess805informed me that this might not be true and the dress could be a 2be dress. After much searching (and much help from snowprincess805...thanks by the way!) I found my dress. Its from 2be's 2004 line.
Im upset b/c I feel like if the dress shop is going to lie to me about the dress being theirs (I understand not telling a bride the designer until they order..but to LIE??) then i dont know if i trust them to order my dress with them....nor do I want to give them the money for my order!
BUT...like i said...i am pretty sure its from 2004...so where else could i find it?? i dont knwo if i have any choice!!!! I dont knwo what to do and Im upset!

call around some other dress shops and see if they carry it or can order it and for how mich, that should give you some options...

honestly, i was pissed to learn this is the case with many bridal shops. the point is, if you love that dress and the store has decent customer service and a decent reputation, why not just order it there and save youself the hassle and headache.....as long as you love the dress, order it and dont look back! :)

OMG.. That's just wrong! If you have the designer and the model you should be able to call other places and see if they have it! I'm sure alot of places still cary 2004 lines! Dont Stress! So funny though that was one of the things on Fox 5 last night!! Keep trying, and honestly I wouldn't want to buy my gown from that place anyway! (Where were you??) Good Luck! Did you try searching on line there has to be a way!!

absolutely go around and try to find it elsewhere.
i have this philosophy in wedding/event planning:
Go With Vendors Who You 1. Trust 2. Believe In 3. Actually LIKE Personally 4. Treat You Like A Good Customer First, And A Friend Second.
That's my rule for each and every vendor. There have been tons so far that have given me a good price or I felt could deliver. But at the end of the day...there are soooo many vendors our there that I would rather go with ones that meet all my requirements.
go somewhere else. don't think twice about it. and if i were you, i'd call them and tell them you KNOW they were lying!

I was looking for a specific dress and I called a bunch of places and they didn't carry it...so I actually went to the designer's website and sent them an email asking what places near me had the dress. They sent me an email about a week later tell me exactly what stores had it. I'm big on going with my gut. We went to a photographer that is highly recommended not only on here, but also a personal friend used them. When we met with them they were nasty to us. I say if you are not going to feel comfortable with the place...try to find some other shop that has the dress. you want to feel right, especially about the dress. JMO

I'd be pissed. I have to disagree I hate when they won't tell you the designer either. I'd shop around and try to find it elsewhere. If you can't find it in other stores then you can always buy it from the original place.

grrr.....even more of an issue now!!! I called the designer and they were like....well, this is a couture dress...so its only in the salon and they have 'exclusivity' and you will not be able to find it any where else and i need to buy through a retailer they dont sell their dresses to individuals and there is NO way to view dresses except in stores....
WHO DOES THEIR MARKETING?!?!?!?!?!?!

The dress is only carried in ONE salon??? It would be one thing if the salon told you, this dress is designed exclusively for us, it's by so and so. But it was wrong for them to say it's their own design. That was kind of stretching the truth. If the whole situation left a bad taste in your mouth, try to look around some more elsewhere. Now that you know what style you definitely want and love, try to find something similar elsewhere if you can.
