I'm MARRIED!!!
We're leaving soon for the honeymoon, but I wanted to pop on to let you all know that yesterday went perfectly! ![]()
Honestly, the biggest 'problem' of the day was that one of my BMs spilled water on her dress about 5 minutes before the ceremony. My bridal attendant and Elaine managed to find a blow dryer and we only started 1 minute after the scheduled start time. That's it. It was truly a perfect, wonderful day and I have zero complaints.
Christine, thanks so much for posting those pics!! I hate having to wait for my proofs, so it was awesome to see pictures of the wedding already!![]()
Also, thanks to Maxine who not only came up with the favor tag for my wine bottles but also the song for my brother/sister dance after I realized that the one I wanted was too hard to dance to! ![]()
I'll post a full review when I come back, but I just wanted to say the following:
1) Glen Island is amazing!! Any GIHC brides out there, you have nothing to worry about. They took care of us from start to finish. We have gotten nothing but compliments on the food and they were 100% professional and accommodatng from start to finish. When DH finished his filet mignon, our attendant asked if he wanted another. She not only brought him another filet, but a whole new plate with sides too!![]()
He was very happy!
2) Elaine Deluca -- if any of you have considered getting a DOC, Elaine is the way to go. She is 100% the reason that my wedding went perfectly. She handled all of my vendors and any problems that came up like a pro. At one point my dress was stepped on and 4 of the bustle loops broke. Elaine whisked me away to the bridal suite and sewed the loops back on and re-tied them. Absolutely amazing!
3) Perceptions Photography -- I haven't seen the proofs yet, obviously, but had to say that ALL of the photographers, including Anthony stayed til the end of the night. So many people commented to my mother and other relatives that they've never seen photographers stay so long at the wedding. They also showed me a lot of the shots they were taking and it was great to see how the pictures were going to look.
4) Arcadia Floral -- they really came through with the CPs and aisle arrangements. Everything looked EXACTLY the way I wanted and a lot of you know what a perfectionist I am, so that's saying a lot![]()
Also, my BM's bouquets were PERFECT!! I wanted them to look like the bouquet Jessica Simpson had when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding earlier this year (it was on the cover of US Weekly). My bouquet was outstanding and so beautiful It started to get a little brown by this morning and the stephanotis were pretty wilted by the end of the night, but it was a long day.
