I'm Married!!
So happy to say I am finally a WIFE! Everything went really smoothly for our 7/1 wedding. Our vendors were close to perfect, and any issue was really only noticed by ME since I planned and ironed out all the details myself.
Girls, my best piece of advice is to keep reminding yourself there is a bigger picture in the end. The shade of white or ivory on your shoes (that will be hidden all night) really just is not that important when you weigh it against the entire wedding/marriage to your best friend. In the end, I realized I had to stop sweating the small stuff. Bigger items definitely are worth fighting for (RD size, timing of hair/makeup, who is attending with a guest vs without, pricing and who is contributing what amount etc.) Pick your battles and only raise your blood pressure when the ish hits the fan.
If anyone wants feedback on my vendors, please let me know. I will be writing up a review, but that may take some time. I worked with:
Unique Visions Studio (photo)
Couped Up (video)
Big Hits Entertainment (DJ and Steel Drums)
MAS Music (ceremony live music)
Hidden Essence (flowers and chuppah)
Christine Martin (MUA)
Bridal Styles by Jacqueline (hair)
Lancelot Limos
Bridal Suite of Bayshore (my gown)
Rabbi Alan Stein
Cynthia Ross Affairs (DOC)
David's Bridal (BM/FG dresses)
Mens Wearhouse
Lano Design Studio (invites and all other paper goods)
Popped by KT (cake pops)
Lady J's Cakes (Grooms cake)
Rolling Pin
Venetian Yacht Club
Bellissimo (RD)
Sensasian (shower)
Sandals Grande St Lucia
Have fun with planning and remember in the end, you are going to have the best day (or one of) of your life!
