I'M MARRIED! (with non-pro PICS of the ceremony!!!!)
I really can't believe that here I am, back in NY, married and writing on LIW to tell you girls about my day. According to the ticker above, I've been married for 2 days and 2 hours, and they've been the happiest 2 days and 2 hours of my life. It's such a hard feeling to explain. Tons of little things went wrong, but to call the day 'perfect' wouldn't be a lie.
I have so much to say but won't bore you with it now because I know everyone wants to see pics! But for those who don't know, DH and I had a 'wedding weekend' at a country inn in Connecticut. Here's the Wake Robin Inn:

The inn has 38 rooms, and 35 of them were booked with our friends and family. I don't think the other 3 rooms were booked. So it was like a big weekend-long house party. The inn has a beautiful wraparound porch, big backyard, 2 parlors (one with a piano that my cousin would entertain on), an Irish pub, and a few other common rooms that people would wander around, meet up in and hang out. It all started on Friday night with a rehearsal dinner BBQ in the back of the inn for 30 people, and by 9:00, about 50 people were there and we had a bonfire with s'mores and drinks. The Irish pub was closed to outsiders and some people got drinks there and hung out, and some stayed outside. We all stayed up and talked, caught up, laughed till 12:30 (even Grandma!).
Then, the Big Day. Rain was in the forecast and the ceremony was outside so I had panicked all week. Well, it drizzled for about 3 minutes (of the 30 minute ceremony) and then got sunny. Not terrible at all! Here are some ceremony pics:
My bridal party, wearing dresses from Ann Taylor, with the most gorgeous flowers I've ever seen in person:
Both my parents walked me down the aisle:

After the ceremony, we ran up to our room at the inn and watched everything from our balcony for a few minutes, before going off to take pictures:
That one's my favorite! Okay, I showed these to you girls before I emailed them to my own mother! I'll show you some reception pics later.![]()
