I am, too! I used to dance with the Cyril McNiff School of Irish Dancing. We won a few times in the parade and everything!

Re: **I'm my own princess**
No joke - my parents put me in Irish dance classes that were supposed to meet in the basement of a church... the instructor showed up drunk like 45 minutes late and after like 3 attempts my parents were like 'F this' and that was the end of that lol. But, my little munchkins will be forced into Irish dance as soon as they can walk lol.

I'm a teacher, just not TCRG (yet).
I danced with An Rince Mor/Mise Eire School of Irish Dance for about 12 years. Then taught for Inishfree for about a year. Now I teach for american studio of performing arts (well I have been for almost 8 years now).

did you ever compete at the oireachtas? NANs? Worlds? All Irelands?
I competed at the O's in 2000 and 2001 doing a dance drama and choreography/figure and at NANs doing a dance drama. never got to dance solo, but I did compete at a bunch of feiseanna.

Haha ours were in a church basement, too. On Friday nights. Since we were the advanced group, we'd come early and help teach the little kiddies and then stay until 2 or 3 in the morning to practice the more advanced steps. It was creepy as hell at that time of night... and there was only one boy.
Our parade practice classes were even better- they were in a bar on Saturday mornings. LOL. The Breffini in fact in Sunnyside which ceases to exist now.
That's so cool though, I never meet any other Irish dancers (besides FH and his family). I saw your avatar- it's so cute! I would love to go back and help teach or take more classes. Maybe when I have kids since they will be forced to go, too.

No, we never really did many group dances. I think there's only one that we ever practiced regularly, but we went to feis (feises? I don't know the plural. LOL.) all over NY. I bet we've seen each other around.

Hahaha let's do it! I still have my dress though I definitely can't squeeze my fat arse into it. LOL!
I stopped when I was maybe 14? I did it for about 7 years. Then I went to highschool and was too cool for it. I live in Queens- Elmhurst to be exact.

I might've been wearing my green one. Very very plain? Like only one little design on the skirt? If so, that was probably me! We gave the green one away awhile back.
Mostly I wore my blue dress though. The designs on it were more intricate and it has yellow under the cape and the yellow lollipops to match. I want to go home and try it on!
Haha I never had a wig, but damn I remember my mom staying up all night curling my hair with those spiky curlers!
