I'm Nervous

I got my Bap cert. It is not filled out on the back. I made my communion, however I didn't make my cofirmation. The priest asked me to get a letter of freedom. My church said they didn't know what that was. So the church I am gettinng married at said not to worry about the letter. My problem is they never asked me about the confirmation when we had our meeting. All he asked was if I was baptized, which I was and If I promise to raise my kids as Catholics which I did. I signed a paper that he would send to the Diocese asking for permission. He said that once the Diocese answered then we would be set. I am just scared that he may approach me later and say oh you can't get married here! I haven't ordered my invites for that same reason. We are going to do the Pre-cana class, Jan or Feb. so that we could be in the clear,Then I will order invites. Should I be worried?

Im sure it will all work out..no offence, but Im so glad im lutheran! I hear so many worries with you girls and the church! But I have to say I always hear things work out too!

i was only batptized but DH went through confirmation. They only asked me for my Baptismal cert and nothing else.

That is the problem FH is not Catholic he is Baptist. So they don't do those type of sacraments.

i wouldn't worry about it. i remember the baptismal certificate i got also was not filled ou in the back. you do not need to prove the other sacrements in order to be married in the church - you just need to prove that you were baptized.

I had the same issue... My church was only concerned that I was Baptised.... SO I wouldnt worry - I never made my confirmation either - BUT I plan to raise ur children Catholic - So basically the point I am trying to make is DONT WORRY... Order the invites..

you should call the priest and ask him I have both been baptized and had my confirmation but Fiance was not confirmed he had to take classes and be confirmed before we get married which he did last april, to be on the safe side talk to your priest
