don't feel like you are so far behind, you still have a year and 3 months- that is a good amount of time.

chateau la mer is fantastic! my sister was married there in july of 2005 and everything was amazing!!

Congrats on engagement! don't worry about getting everything done you have PLENTY of time. I planned my wedding in 4 months--it's totally do-able. We're all here to help too!
