Hello Brides, My name is Alexandra.....And I just recently started diving into this whole wedding planning phenomenon and I just feel so OVERWHELMED! The only thing I have right now is a Reception Hall and photographer...Everything else remains to be seen! Any suggestions on music - band vs DJ, florist, etc. I just don't even know where to start. Thanks in adavance for the help....

I'm LI ....My reception is going to be at the Harbor Club which I'm very happy with so far....and my photographer is really wonderful....but i just don't know where to start with anything else...

I chose steve files from grays studio...have heard of them? I was recommended and then just fell in love with their work! For the reception I went with the Harbor Club.... I love the water and I the grounds are just so beautiful....

i went to dinner at bobs place on jericho and the waiter was thier son i checked out their photos and they were very pretty , congrats

It's funny you bring up budget...Jason and I were just debating that topic last night....We've compromised on 65,000....I think that's pretty good from what I hear....We have a tentative guest list of about 180...

I would start by taking 1 thing at a time. No sense getting overwhelmed and stressed it should be fun!
I started by checking the vendors section on here. Im having a destination wedding in LI so it was really helpful. I chose a few and then searched reviews on the boards and started making calls to them asking about prices, etc. Narrow it down from there and then meet with your top favorties.
So i would choose your next most imp. thing maybe band/Dj and go from there. it gets easier :)
just remember to have fun and take it slow. Sometimes being on here is a lil overwhelming with everything that gets done, but theres plenty of time so dont worry.
