I'm New...Just wanted to join the chats

Hi Ladies,

I am new to liwedding and I wanted to say hi. I'm getting married in April 2008. I live in NJ but I am from Brooklyn and my fiance is from Queens so LI was our choice for our wedding location. Any tips on finding wedding dresses? I'd like to fin something for under $1500 but I can go over that if I really love the dress.

Hi Welcome!

I didnt really shop around too much for wedding dresses, but if you are looking for a reasonable price, try Davids Bridal. They have a huuuuge selection for all diff prices. But be prepared - they are not very helpful so you need to have your own helpers with you.

Also - I wouldnt recomend alterations there. I am getting mine done somewhere else.

hey! im from brooklyn and FH is from queens too! Welcome!

I got my dress at Lestan's in Canarsie. I've had a great experience so far and prices are really good.

Lillette's in Baldwin (where I bought my gown) had a huge selection of gowns under $1500!

just wanna say welcome!! i'm not sure bout dresses cause i haven't started looking for mine.. but if u do find a place please let me know!! under 1500 is in my price range!!!

I bought my dress at Burton's in Melville they have amazing dresses at amazing prices!!!

I bout my dress at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. Carle Place has the higher prices.
They have dresses in different price ranges. They will ask up front what your range is.
