I'M NO LONGER HOMELESS!!!!!
AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was an amazingly rough week for me. I've been pretty quiet on here this week because me and FH were having a lot of personal issues, and I was really struggling with whether to post about it or not. Suffice it to say, I was about to post a very different kind of goodbye, but we have since worked out our problems, and are OK. It was the perfect storm of stress, between both of our ridiculous BP members acting up among other much more important things.
And it's funny how things work out...we went from almost calling the whole thing off to finally having a place to live!
Literally just 2 minutes after FH was about to leave to come over on Friday night, when I had planned on probably breaking his own jaw myself, his aunt called the house and just caught him. She had seen a listing in the LI Catholic newspaper for a 1BR apartment in Dix Hills, and it had all the features we were looking for. So FH asked me if he should call, and I said whatever, I didn't even care anymore, so he called up, they had him come over 10 minutes later, and they ended up loving him and saying that they wanted to rent to him, and we went yesterday morning so I could see for myself, and liked it, and rented it! (After having a LONG talk the night before to hash it out, obviously).
Oh, and it's across the intersection from FIL's
But that's another story for another day!
I'm really glad that we were able to work through our things like adults, and were able to make this decision. It's really funny how it all fell in to place in literally 12 hours! Now we have this enormous pressure off of us, and can really shop for furniture, and not be at each others throats. It's a small apartment in terms of the bedroom and living room, but it has a huge kitchen with plenty of room for our appliances, and a cute little side patio we can use, and for half the year the landlords are away so it's nice and private, and I'm just SO relieved, this was causing me so much more stress than the wedding at this point!
