i'm not pg but i have a question.

i am cleaning out my closet and came across my huge supply of af stuff. seriously, i have an addiction to the drugstore. so i have enough tampons and pads and liners to last about 2 lifetimes.
my question is this...after you have the baby, about how long do you bleed and is it heavy? can you use tampons? would you even want to ? do i even bother to keep all this stuff? silly, i know but the last thing i'll want to worry about when it does happen is 'do i have enough supplies?' i'm such a dork.

I'm almost positive that you are not supposed to use tampons after delivery for 6 weeks or so.

Save them all for later...but stock up on PADS!!

They say you can bleed up to 6 weeks after giving birth, and with my luck, I bled exactly 6 weeks after. No, you're not suppose to use tampons, only pads. I had a C-section and the flow was heavy while I was in the hospital, and a little after, but not the whole time. It was a medium to light flow most of the time.

No tampons after giving birth, only pads. You need to heal. And you do bleed a lot after giving birth (like up to 6 or 8 weeks).
(I guess its payback for us NOT having our AF for the last 9 or 10 months.)

I had to use the supersized hospital pads that were as big as couch cushions (sorry TMI) for up to three weeks after giving birth. I can't believe I wasn't anemic with all the blood loss.

No tampons - nothing 'up there' for six weeks. Not even baths or swimming pools.

You'll need those Overnighter type of pads...not the little thin ones you probably have...for at least a week or so, then the others should be fine. No tampons....(if you have a vaginal delivery, you won't even want to think about using a tampon!
