Maybe I'm in shock at what I just did.

I've decided to call off the wedding. I'm in the midst of packing up my stuff down here in FL and preparing to move back to NY next week. Unless FH removes his head from his asss, I should be out of here by Thursday.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me in the last week, I really appreciate everyones nice words. You are a great group of ladies!

I am soooo sorry! But you are strong, and you are making the right decision. Calling off a wedding is a better thing to do than getting a divorce, hands down. You are very attractive, and young. The best years of your life are ahead of you. Don't lose any more time on this man who clearly is not excited at the prospect of marrying you and being with you for the rest of your lives.

You deserve a man who will move mountains and earths to be with you, and trust me hon, he IS out there. 3-4 years of dating is nothing in the grand scheme of things. I know you will be okay and take this decision as a move toward a new beginning in your love life!!

I'm so so sorry!!! It sounds like you needed to take action. And no matter what happens, know you did the right thing. You can't go headlong in to a life long commitment if you're both not really sure. You're really strong and just stay true to yourself and know that you have a lot of people to help you through this!!!

with 6 months to the wedding my friend called her wedding off. This was in 2008. Today she still maintains it was the best decision for her.

everything happens for a reason. its cliche but i live by it. i personally called off my own wedding (back in 2006) and it was one of the best decisions of my life. i have never once doubted my decision and now ive found the PERFECT man for me. i'm not going to say it wasnt a difficult time but i learned so so much that im thankful the experience since its made me who i am today.

stay positive and stay strong, both of which you obviously are. FM if you have questions or need to vent.
