I'm officially......

Mrs. S.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the DMV today when it first opened in Port Jeff and was one of the first people seen and was out of there within 15 minutes (plus I changed the title of my car at the same time!)

Then, I drove down to SS in Patchogue and changed my name with them and I should get my new card in the mail in a few weeks!!!!

And I just spoke with HR at Stony Brook and I can bring everything in today to get my name changed here!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got my SS card in 9 days, my new license in 11! good luck!!!

I've been looking forward to this for 2 years!!!!!! That and I need to get my passport changed over and I know that will take 2-3 months and all my flights for the holiday's are in my married name.

Congrats Betsy....err, I mean Mrs. S!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG yes it's a great feeling - Love being called wife and calling DH husband. There's pure sweetness to it!!!!!!

I think FH should change his last name to mine, what do you guys think.:

yay!!! I have to go to DMV friday morning before I go to work, I'm already half-changed at work (my boss did all she could while I was on my hm), and I guess on my day off next week I'll hit SS

Get there EARLY Kimberly! By the time I left SS this morning at 9:45am, there were no seats available and people were standing as they waited. I had to wait about 35 minutes to be called and I got there when it opened.

Thanks! We have the HM in March to the Bahamas, plus all our holiday flights have been booked in my married name. I'll be happy when all the running around to diff. offices is over.

Luckily credit cards can be done over the phone!

I'm not trying to do anything!

But you got your HM - I still have to plan for mine and thus gotta get my new name on everything official, so I can get there and back without problems.
