I'm pissed........

OK, so I'm having an Engagement party on the 19th. My cousin, who is one of my BM just told me that her parents won't be able to make it so therefore she will not be able to come. The reason......ready for this.........she has never driven to Brooklyn so it's too far for her (she lives in Franklin Square).

I bent over backwards for her for her wedding and this is what she does.

I really have no patience for this.........

I can't believe that!!!
Especially that they are no more than 40 min away!

I have a cousin like that, who can't drive to brooklyn from NJ.. but that is 2 hour trip.

Couldn't of said it any better welcome to the wonderful world of planning a wedding. There will be disappointments along the way and probably from people that you would never think would do that to you. But what you have to do is realize that it is not even worth dwelling on and move on you so many other more important things to worry about. You now know how to deal with her from now on.

I totally understand. One of my BM's couldn't make it to my e-party either, but when she got married of course I went to hers. Unfortunately this crap happens to all of us...its not fair!

I live in FS and it is not that far. Don't worry though...my best friend/bridesmaid didn't come to my engagement party because it was her boyfriends cousin b-day.

Hey fellow Russo bride...

your cousin should really be there for you! If I was her and I didn't want to drive, I would take LIRR or hitch a ride with a relative or friend. She gave such a poor excuse! Perhaps you should make her feel guiltyand tell her all the errands you did for her wedding!
