The outside is very pretty..it looks like a castle! Do they have any pics for the inside, where your reception would be?
It's right down the road from where I teach. I think it's nice from the outside, but I have no idea what it looks like inside.

it's beautiful!! isnt that where you originally wanted to get married? did you try sand point i love the carriage house there (the childrens museum part) or oheka (although i'm sure thats way expensive even w/o catering) does anyone know if bourne mansion looks like a castle? theres also the sandcastle but i dont think its what your going for.
The inside is nice. I've been there a few times. I orginally wanted to have it at this park in stony brook but they will not allow weddings, not even just the ceremony. I tried Sandspoint and even though they have no problem with the ceremony, the will not allow me to have my reception on the grounds. I've contacted several places. They either don't allow outside catering, or they charge so damn much, just to be there. My only problem with the UU church is that it is a church. I don't mind having my reception there, just not the ceremony. But it looks like that is where I'll be having it. ITS not a terrible thing, its just the idea being married in a church sounds, so so so religious. I can't explain. Well its not the worse thing. I guess I should just be glad I have them as an option.
I think it's would also go with your theme perfect! Aren't you doing a midevil (sp?) theme? If so, it would work with your theme perfect!

Didn't you have your engagement party at a park? How about having the ceremony and reception at a park, I'm not sure how much it costs to rent a park for a day. But you can rent an arch and decorate it with silk flowers, and get married under there. You could also rent a tent and have the reception in there. You can even rent dance floors if you wanted dancing. Probably the rentals and everything would be in your price range, especially if you shop around.
