my mom got divorced long time ago...i was a little girl,so i was very attached to my dad i never got to see him..long story short..i went w my mom to US ( i lied in russia since i was born, left when i was 15) i havent seein him or spoke to him since then...we just wrote letters to each other, once in a while.. and he finally got a phone ..i came home for lunch just now..and got a letter...from him...he gave me his phone #....omg..i couldnt stop crying......i still have tears on my eyes....FH wants him at the wedding..but my dad doesnt like america..he does not wana come.....anyway..im just very emotional......

WOW! that is a very emotional thing! i'm glad you're in touch, but i'm sorry to hear he doesn't want to come in for the wedding!

Im sorry you are sad... i had wrote before that i was glad he has a phone and gave u his number.... and that my dad is here and doesnt care much about me....
so in a way you are very lucky he wrote to you. Invite him, call him and tell him how muchit would mean to you...

aw im sorry to hear that. on the plus side, he does still keep in touch and now you have his phone number. im sure he will change his mind about coming to your wedding as the date gets closer. the more you talk to him the more he will realize that he cant miss his daughter getting married no matter how much he doesnt like the US.

Aw, I am sorry to hear that. Its tough. Having divorced parents aren't fun and living in another country makes it even more painful. Hopefully he will change his mind.

Don't give up yet! You have over a year to pursuade him to come.
Maybe it you talk to him regularly over the next year and talk about the wedding plans, he'll change his mind!

i think that you should call him or even write to him and explain how much it would mean to you if he came...that he dosen't have to stay in america forever just for ur wedding
