i feel kinda guilty of getting another dog, i'm afriad layla's not going to be happy about it, what is gets mad at us or think we weren't happy with her so we gt a 2nd dog,... it may sound silly but that's whats going throughy my mind.. she loves playing with ohter dogs but i'm still nervous becuase she also loves snuggling up with mommy & daddy in bed ALONE!! what is she going to do when she realizes that she has to share?
i'm so worried!!!

dont worry. i was the same way. i was feeling guilty for Lukin. But dont worry. They get over it... nad luckily Layla is still young. Theyre gonna end up being best friends

Getting a second dog was the best thing we could have done. They are so very attached to each other. They protect each other and play with one another in ways that we can't. Their favorite play is 'hide and go seek' ...The little guys hides behind bushes and the big one goes to find him and then chase. It is really cute. Don't feel guilty. By nature, dogs are pack animals and usually enjoy the company of other dogs.

we are in the same boat. Are you still going to visit the 'boggle'? Can you bring Layla with you so she can meet it? We are bringing Bailey to meet the puggle tomorrow to ensure they can get along and then they will visit our home.
Dogs are pack animals...that is how they view their families....us as Momma and Dadda, are really part of the pack. Since Layla is young, she might take on a motherly character with the new pup.
Look at it this way (DH pointed this out to me)....you already have one dog, the commitment is there with Layla.....so you add another dog into the mix....your commitment is still the same, maybe a few years longer since the pup is young.

no we're not going to see the boggle anymore, they changed our closing date from 4/15 till 5/9 and they wont hold it for us since it's a shelter not a rescue. but thats understandable. besides i'd hate to go see it and love it and then find out that they can't hold it for us. that would be torture for me!!
