So we had plans tomorrow to go dress shopping for her. I took off work so we'd have the whole day. She just called me and told me she just got back from Macy's and ordering her dress.
so I'm slighly annoyed she didnt do this with me since I took off work for it, but whatever. Then she tells me its sapphire blue. The exact color I told my FMIL she could not wear bc it was too bright. Now I feel terrible bc she's gonna walk in, see a bright blue dress and be like, wow your grandmother can wear it but I cant/????
Kill me. I feel like I have to tell FMIL so she doesnt get upset.

I'd ask your grandmother if you can go look at it tomorrow, just to see it, tell her you're really excited about it.
then tell FMIL that your grandmother went without you and it was the only thing she could find.

i wouldn't tell FMIL ... and if she asks you about it, then you can tell her you had no idea your grandma bought that color.
