I'm so bummed

I just found out today that my mom needs another surgery.. Some of you already know she had a double lung transplant not that long ago, she's been doing well, but now needs this other surgery where they are cutting her stomach and her intestines and re-connecting it to make a pocket. She has reflux? And it leads to rejection of the new lungs.. Worst of all she's having it on my birthday Aug 8.. And we were supposed to have a bbq for it(which I really could care less about) so I suggested she do it the week before, and now I think that's when my SURPRISE shower is she made some lame excuse about having to do something the entire weekend with my sister (she hardly speaks to her!) I really wanted it to be a surprise! And I'm so nervous, her surgeries NEVER go well..

I know it's hard when there is really nothing that you can do but be with her.
