I'm so excited about my DIY invites!
Last night i finished a mock up version of our invites (...and then went on to get the rest about 75% done!!!) and I am soooo excited by the results!
I am a quilter and I enjoy making handmade paper so I decided to incorporate those things into my invite - after seeing all of the beautiful pocket folds you ladies made, I decided to make a 'pocketfold - ish'
invite!
My camera wasn't cooperating last night, so the pic isn't great and the one of it closed ended up being corrupt
(I'll try again tonight to get another shot)
So here is a pic of it opened (this is the mock which I totally over-scored so it is tearing at the seam, the rest are fine - after making this I realized I only had to make 1 pass with the scoring blade).
I'm also uploading a pic of the monogram I made, that is getting sewn onto the front of the invite. Also when the invite is closed the rust colored card stock is about an 1' shy of the bottom of the invite, so ther is an inch strip of handmade paper visible when it's closed :)
What do you guys think????
