I'm So Freakin Pissed Off!-Update

I made a deposit at the Times Square Chase Bank in the ATM.

Looked online today at the account and it's not there. ITS NOT THERE!!!!!

I almost bounced checks!!!!

I'm on with Chase right now ready to rip them a new one!

I'm done with Chase for banking..

They are so fired!!!!!

I banked with Citibank for 20 years and never did they lose a deposit.

Update: Chase put the money in the account. They are still FIRED!

OMG! I hope you get it resolved!

just my 2 cents... I banked w/Chase for many years and I am so much happier at WAMU!

how long ago did you make the deposit? With my bank if the checks are from out of state it sometimes takes a few days for them to deposit them into my account, I don't know if Chase does that too. I hope they get it resolved!

I put in a dispute and they were able to track it to my ATM card...so they see it. It will take 24-48 hrs to resolve it and put the money back in my account.

Mini-heart attack..


Doesn't matter-Chase is fired.

The Times Square Branch of Chase is my branch as well. Chase was actually decent before they merged with JP Morgan. Now the S U K! They have screwed me up so many times! I do all my bill payments on line with them though. I really don't want the hassle of pulling out - but I'm seriously thinking about it.

My new top contenders are

BofA
Wamu
Wachovia..

I'm going to put the money in savings at ING because of the rate. I get 3.25% in savings at Chase but I can get more at ING and not have this BS. It will be a little more work to handle two different banks, but this is unacceptable.

How do you lose an ATM deposit? You put it in the machine, it falls into the bin and gets taken out and counted and processed. At least that's how I used to do it way back when I worked at Citibank..

And I thought Citibank s u c k e d.

The first time was an ATM< I had the receipt & I was IN the bank at the ATM...no record, it took 30 days to rectify the account & for them to put the money in.

The 2nd time happened 2 weeks ago, I went to take out our rent money & found my paycheck never made it in. I was LIVID! Got rectified after a lot of phone calls & BS...They make me URRRRRRRRRRR

I am glad you got your $$$ back. Boo on chase. If it makes you feel better, my bank once deposited my pay check back in my company's bank account. I guess all those bank account #s can be confusing to them even

But I just read online that Citibank is doing a high yield savings account. Intro rate is 4.50% if linked to a checking account.

I never closed out my accounts with Citibank and I'm tempted to give them another try. One of the reasons I left was due to the measly .8% I was getting on my savings.

I know these big banks are probably all the same though.

oh 4.5% - I could use that! I think all the big banks have these issues - some just have them more often!

i dont like chase either.

i have my car loan with them and i used to be able to pay the bill online for free. now they charge $10 to pay it online each month! so now i have to write out a check .

Why are they charging you? Do you have a bank acct w/ them?

i went online to look at some rates. Most of them post it on their website.

Still looking for another bank. Chase did screw up again. They put the money back in the bank account but then the did it again. They gave me twice my deposit.

I called them because I knew they would evenutally figure it out, but I was just annoyed about the whole thing.

Went back to Citibank today to talk about coming back and talked to a nice guy at the branch but he was not too knowledgable...
