Im so MAD

So my matron of honor has been basically a no-show for everything. She lives out of town and came to my shower, but did nothing to help my sister (my maid of honor) besides write a check. When my girlfriends and I went out for drinks after the shower, she said she was too tired. She did not come to my bachelorette party in AC even after my sister spoke to her and told her how disappointed i would be. Now i find out from her husband that she has been in NY for the past couple of days to help her mom out with some stuff. I called to give her some last minute info on wedding stuff-- but she didnt even call to let me know she was going to be in town. I am so hurt---i feel like kicking her out of the bridal party

Give her the benefit of the doubt...Maybe something is wrong...a family problem...She is in NY helping her mother with some stuff...It could be she doesn't want to trouble you with her problems or maybe she doesn't like talking about that stuff...I would first be worried...

I'm sorry you're dealing with this....try not to let it stress you out and focus on the happy things to come. It's good that you have your sister (MOH) to count on!

I feel your pain. I started a thread about my maid of honor also. Mine makes me feel like everything is about her and I am stressing HER out too much. Oh well. The important thing is that we are marrying the loves of our lives and it will be a great day no matter what.

I completely understand. I was waiting for MOH to do shower invitations. She hadn't done them so I picked them out and did the envelopes and my mom did the invitations. My mom is already supplying her house and all of the food, she shouldn't have had to do the invites too.

Just an update -- it is currently 7:43pm on wednesday and i still have not heard back from her since monday

I can defintaly understand why you are so upset and hurt by her actions.

I have had some trouble with my MOH also but I just keep reminding myself of the reason I chose her.

For me, she's been my best friend for 25 years.

We are totally different people now and sometimes our points of view cross paths in a very bad way, but at the end of the day, she's been my best friend for 25 years.

So, you might just want to sit back and think of whatever your reason is and try to realize that either:
A - this is the way she is
B- something might be going wrong that she doesn't want to share yet

Either way, don't let her stress you out. We have enough stress of our own right now without letting other people add to it!
