I'm so pissed!

I'm so pissed!

My job is completely screwing me! I work for a newspaper and they're closing 4 of the 6 papers I work for. So I'm going for another position in a different department that has regular Monday-Friday 9-5 hours. I knew that in the interim they were going to switch my schedule starting in January to 2 day shifts and 3 night shifts. Because I think that schedule is BS I am planning on leaving the company if I don't get this other position. So here's what pisses me off. We just got an email stating that our schedules are changed effective immediately. That means instead of working tomorrow during the day that i have to work the nightshift. First off, I already had plans for tomorrow night, second of all, I think it's complete BS to switch my schedule in the middle of the week! I HATE MY JOB AND MY COMPANY EVEN MORE. AND YES I'M YELLING!!!

DAMN, I am sorry to hear you going thru that. I think its ludicrous for them to change your schedule effective immediately, especially given the fact that its just days before Christmas and you would expect that most people have booked their free time as a result

I so hope you get that new position. If you have the time, I would totally call in sick .. that is, if you can get away with it

I have 0 sick days left because I used them all when my sister was in the hospital and I used all of my vacation time for the wedding and HM. I friggin hate this place!
