I was at fiance's parents house all day after the funeral of his grandmother. THey bought out cookies and cake. I refused everything that was offered to me. That's the first time i did that. I was so happy.

But I will add .. I get a little bothered when people seem offended at you for saying 'no, thank you' to something that is offered.

They weren't offended. They were impressed and proud that I refused.
