Im so sad

I just got a phone calll from FH telling me that his cousinone of the GM who lives in AZ is not going to be able to afford to come to the wedding the worst part is that his son was supposed to be our ring bearer I am so upset and I feel like at this point with being only 2 months away I really dont think we can ask someone else without hurting feelings I wouldnt want anyone to feel like thay were 2nd choice. anyone have any imput or sugesstions please

i know it's asking a lot, but would you be able to chip in and help them pay for it? or tell them not to give a gift? does anyone you know have free miles they could use?

The same thing happened to me ! FH & I ended up paying for one of his GM & his son to come to our wedding. We used the miles that we accumulate on our card to paid for his trip. Hope you are okay and don't stress it !

unfortunatly, we're going to see alot of this as the during the year. We all have to decide what's important, what we need, and what we can do without. It's really sad because some people aren't going to be able to come to our weddings that we really want there. And I'm sure they're going to want to come, and it must suck that they can't come because of money. I'm sure your cousin feels horrible.

well u cold be sneaky and buy the ticket,mail it to him and then he would have to use it....or fh could just call him and explain to him that he wants him to be there,he understands about the money and letting u guys pay for him to be there is the best present he could give...

if all this does not work out and he really vant come..and u still want the rb..i would casulay say in front of the parent u would consioder using the child as a rb,the situation and maybe they would offer

Do you think it would be ok to have our Nephew be the RB he is not even 1 yet but we thought maybe my FG could walk him down in a stroller or a wagon? The reason we didnt ask him in the first place was because he was too little. I know my FSIL would not be offended if we asked her now.

Thanks Gina at this point I just looked up aiefare and it is def not in our budget to fly all of them out here. I wish it was but we just cant affored it either. But maybe we can offer to pay half That may be a good option

Unexpected things happen all the time. Do you have any alt options for ring bearer? I would just ask around and offer to buy/rent the outfit ( you can prob get great deals on suits with Easter approaching)

Do you have a pet? some people use their dogs!

Thanks so much I have 3 people in mind one being a little cousin who is like 6ish and my other cousins's son who is 9 but I think that may be to old. my other option is FSIL son who is not even 1 yet....I jsut dont know who would be best
