I'm so sad...a beloved Yankee has passed away...

One of the most dearly beloved old-timers. The oldest living Hall of Famer. Adored broadcaster. Phil Rizzuto, also known as Scooter. #10.

We almost had his number at one of our tables- but we didn't have enough to keep it in the mix. I'm so sad we didn't after all!

He was the 'other' great Yankee shortstop. We'll miss you Scooter!!

Wow, if it weren't for you telling me about Phil Rizzuto (Scooter), I wouldn't have known until tonight after work.

Scooter's Yankeeography is on now. All of these retrospectives are killin' me. They had some nice conversations with people who knew him on ESPN. He was just a bubbly, loveable, fun loving kind of guy. There are few baseball players out there today with that kind of personality. He was a great player and an entertaining sportscaster to say the least....but he was most loved for being the person he was.
