Im so upset

I went to my florist yesterday for my final meeting and to see my sample centerpieces

Well the one I LOVED my fh HATED and the one he LOVED, I HATED.

So we agreed to do a mixture of both in the room. But now Im sad b/c him and his brother both said that mine are ' tacky' and too much.

And his are so simple and boring!!! I hate them!! It looks like flowers thrown in a vase. He says its ' simple and elegant'


I am not asking my florist to make another sample centerpiece b/c he has already done 3

Hang in there... don't fret about this. Your day really is going to be amazing. Pick the CP's and call it a night. Otherwise, it will just haunt you. Once they are picked, that is one less thing you have to worry about.

Guys tend to like simple. but I'm usre your CP were beautiful. Also, it's not the same thing seeing the flowers at the florist and them seeing them in your room - the decor has a lot to do wit it. Ask your fi to visualize it happenind in your room - I'm sure you can come to a HAPPY medium. Best wishes!

Maxine, keep in mind everyone has different tastes and you are NOT going to please everyone at your wedding. Too bad if his brother doesn't like one, then tell him not to bring one home!

small detail in the big scope of things i think. i don't know. i hate my centerpieces but they are very cheap and from my stepmom's work. i love her and it helps her to feel more involved by doing this. plus since they are cheap and i'm not paying for them, my Dad is, its more considerate to just go with them. maybe you had your heart set on great CPs though, and they are priority for you. if that's the case i'd sit down with your FH and explain what parts of the wedding mean a lot to you. i did this and it helped him understand why i cared about certain things and not about others.

i also think its kinda nice your FH is involved too.

Ugh, I know it can be so frustrating, but really, I'm not one to talk but there are so many things about the wedding that you'll probably notice them really briefly during the wedding because so many other things are going on. I know its not just about your selection of the cp, but more about him thinking they are 'tacky' which isn't right, but a lot of times, I use a clever trick my mom taught me and it goes liek this: 'Boys!'
