Yesterday I went dress shopping with my mother, mother-in-law, maid of honor and a brides maid. The dress shop was wonderful, it was lillette's bridal. Two weeks ago I found this dress I thought I feel in love with, it was trumpet, satin and beading.
The problem is when I tried on the dress I thought I loved it. Then my mother and mother-in-law started to rip it apart with questions and comments. It was like a machine gun of questions or comments, My bridesmaids said I looked like a car stuck on the train tracks with two trains heading right towards me. I ended up purchasing the dress. But now I have no clue if I did the right thing. I was so overwhelmed with their craziness I purchased the dress and I'm not sure if I even like it anymore.
Also, my FH told me he like corset back and a-line dress. The dress I picked out looks nothing like it.
I don't know what to do! Do I keep the dress? Do I ask them to hold the dress?
Any advise I would be greatly appreciated.

I think what matters is that you loved the dress when you first saw it, you loved the dress when you saw it on, and it's your wedding!! You will be beautiful on your wedding day, and everyone will eat their words. As for your FH, he will love you in whatever you wear (does he really know if you look better in an a-line or a trumpet or whatever else?? he hasn't even seen you in a wedding dress!). the dress that you love will make you feel happy and gorgeous, which everyone will appreciate.

If you have the dress already I would hold on to it but keep looking. If you dont have it I would ask the store to hold on but also keep looking. Its your day so in the end If you feel like its the one then use it.

One of my BM is going through this right now for her own wedding. If you love the dress then you will look amazing on your day because your happiness will show through. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks. You're going to be the most beautiful, and they will think you are on the day of too, don't worry!!!

Sometimes it better to go dress shopping ALONE!!! If you love it thats all that matters...lots of ppl get really jealous when your doing something their not...like getting married (even if they are already married) If YOU love the dress thats all that matters! Dont let them put doubt in your mind. Once your hair make up ect is together and you put that dress on they wont matter. As long as you feel gr8 in it & Love it nothing else matters

Are you unsure because you agree with some of your mom's and FMIL's comments or because you want to please them and they obviously aren't happy with this dress? If it's the latter, keep the dress. YOU are wearing it- not your mom, not your FMIL, and not FH! (My FH doesn't even know what 'a-line' means. LOL!) It's very normal to have second thoughts about such a big purchase, try to remember what you liked about it in the first place, maybe even go back and try it on alone and see how you feel! Good luck!

Maybe you just have a better eye for style. that's what i think. No one ever likes what I am wearing until months later. Get what you like and rock it!

Oh no! It's hard to have TOO many opinions. I went with my mother and sis-in-law, tried 6 dresses on and found one I adored!!!! I would've bought it on the spot if my wedding was a year away, but it's a year and a half so I figured I'll look around a little more to make SURE it's the one.
If you love it, it's ALL that matters. How do you FEEL in it? Your fiance is going to think you look gorgeous in whatever you wear and I'm sure he'll see why you think it's beautiful on you and he will understand.

I think that if you are not getting a good feeling about purchasing the dress or your unsure...then I would hold out on purchasing the gown until younreally shop around and are CERTAIN that that's the dress you want. Good Luck!!
