I'm SOO sore today...I need your help!

I usually love this kind of pain but I can barely walk up steps or bend down. So I have a question...do I workout even though I am in pain and work through it or do I wait and workout again when the pain eases??

Every few months I change my workout. But this time I have increased weight and ran an extra mile than I usually do. 4 1/2 miles...YAHOO!!

This was my first week of my new regimn....it can only get better.

Ive had this before
after my first session w/ the new trainer I was sore for three days!! but its good pain

My chiropractor suggested this and it did loosen me up, he is an ex competitor body builder, do the precour machine, the one where you keep moving your arms back and forth, forward and back, it loosens u up
lay off the weights till the soreness gets a little better

I train legs one a week. Thats all you really need. You need to rest. Never work out on a body part when it is sore, never. You over train that way, which starts to break down muscle.

I am usually sore for about two- three days after workouts, if I'm not, I didn't do enough.

No! don't run! You need to rest. Do some upper body.

I wouldn't work out again either. Your muscles need time to repair themselves.
If you want, you can do some very light cardio and then gently stretch.

When I'm in that kind of pain, I usually go on the treadmill and walk. I don't go very fast nor go up a huge incline. Basically, I cut back on the cardio and it seems to help my lower body. Don't use weights for a couple of days, until the soreness disappears.
