We booked our RH! i'm officially a Chateau Briand Bride! I walked in with FH and we just knew. I wanted a 40's glamour type feel to my wedding..thats the theme i was leaning towards... and it is just perfect for it!!! The decor, the lighting, the room, it's great!!! And now i'm thinking i'm going to have to be at my cocktail hour..being a bartender the first thing i saw in the CH room was that beautiful bar.. so i'm gonna need to try and weasel my way back there for pics..plus thats how me and FH met.. i was working the bar.. so how cute would that be for a picture! They threw in so much..i'm sooo excited!!! i gave the BM (who was a scotto so i knew i was in good hands) my budget, and she gave me this great menu and package that fit right in it! Now i have that and the church.. whew!
Anyone use their Planning services??? Is it worth it?? the only thing i really want are color linens.. i liked the ones they use..but i really want turquoise linens or overlays on at least every other table.. should i go through them or get my own vendor?? looking for the cheapest option and i hear their vendors can be a little pricey? thanks!!

you might have a choice of color linens with them for free... so check with them first.
we're using the perfect wedding planner as our DOC. right now it feels like a total waste of money, but i know the week of it'll be really nice to not have to worry about anything with the vendors or anything.

i did mention to her that i thought the linens were beutiful... but i wanted color.. she said they could do color napkins.. but they did have places to get linens..
i was thinking of doing the same thing..just letting the be DOC...i know that last week is going to be so crazy..it would be really nice to know someone was taking care of alot the day of...mom is paying though.. so i dont wanna go to out of control.. i can pay for the linens if they are semi affordable.. its just something i know i really want to add to my RH :) that will be my big splurge..lmaoo

YAY!!! Congrats!!! I said they same thing about the CH. I was not going to mine until I saw the room at Chateau Briand. Now I told FH we have to go..lol Which room did you book with for the reception.

well i dont want it to be to themey (thats not a really a word is it? lol) .. but a lot of the BM dresses i like have that sleek 40's feel. and i just feel like everything was soo glamorous back then... so i want to name the tables after 40's movies or movie stars.. or something like that.. like casablanca..from here to eternity (which although i think thats the 50s was about ww2).. then i thought the martini glass centerpieces would go great with that feel.. also the hairstyles we would have for the day could be very 40's inspired... as well as the make up. I even thought of having my bridal party introduced very hollywood style.. we could walk in wearing feather boas and sunglasses, while the guys could have a fedora and glasses with a cigar or something. Any other ideas would be great though..lol

thanks all for the positive feedback. I mean i know i love the place.. and they of course have a great rep being a scotto brothers place.. but its always nice to hear other brides and people who have been to weddings there tell you good things about their service and experiences!! I'm just so excited now, i know it's perfect for me :) and HEY to hall the other CB brides that responded... maybe i will see you all at one of the upcoming events :)
