i found out that some of my invites were folded in half!!
the mailman folded it in half and put it in the mailbox!! literally folded in half!
was I supposed to stamp 'do not bend'?
They folded my DIY 6x6 pocketfolds alot of time and effort went into making those

I am soooo Sorry to hear that happened. On behalf of fellow mail people out there (I being one of them) I am a mail carrier. I can't tell you the number of complaints we get. If it was raining out & they left the invite outside, someone would complain it got wet. If we fold it, it's ruined. What is a mail carrier to do? We try our Best!!

There is no way to stop a mailman from folding your invite. Many people still have the old small ancient mailboxes. Also as someone mentioned they live in an apt building. What do you want us to do? If we leave it out of box in apt & someone takes it then you would be unhappy for that.
Being a mail carrier, unfortuently its a hard call. I feel for you though. I don't want it to happen to mine either. Did you ever see any when it rains and the calligraphy gets wet & goes all over. This stuff happens 'ALL THE TIME' Sorry for the bad news!!

Did you have to pay an extra 20 cents per invite for a special handling charge? My daughter is doing 6 x 6 invites and the postage would normally have been 76 cents but they said because of the size it is 96 cents. What a racket!!!!
yeah they charged me like 17 cents extra

I'm just upset because she said it was literally folded in half. he could have curved it and it would have fit. my sisters mailbox isnt THAT small.
