sorry to hear, i just left my old job last month for the same reason, i started at a new place and am loving it, why do you not like anymore?

being home when you feel good is one thing .. but being home sick just SUCKS . I've been sicker than normal the past 6 months, and nothing makes you more miserable than watching daytime TV when you are sick as a dawg

Thanks! I've been sick so much, too. THe kids at school have jsut been like a rotation of germs, and me, being a new teacher, get all of them! It doesn't help that I am the chorus teacher and more germs circulate in my classroom's air than in a normal room!

I am tired of dealing with the public. I've been here for almost 6 years and can't take it anymore. I am looking to go back into an office and be a administrative assisant or secretary. I can't leave here until i get back from my vacation in May. (since I am a travel agent and my vacation is practically free, I will stick it out until I get back from Barbados)

You poor thing .. working with kids is nearly a guarantee to be sick a lot! And it seems that once you get sick, you KEEP getting sick .. its a vicious cycle!

I've never had such a bad bunch of months of being sick like I've had this past year. Its been one thing after another .. ear infections, sinus infections, stomach virus, flu, constant migraines, the works! I'd like to blame it on something (i.e. wedding planning! LOL) but it cannot possibly be all stress- related. I know its all thoe cooties I catch commuting on the trains, people just have no manners!!

Hang in there! Hope you are back on your feet soon

Well, you keep healthy and start handing out some anti bacteria wipes to all the slobs you see!
But I definitely think stress can leave you open to all kinds of sickness because I have been beyond stressed these last few months iwth my constantly moving schedule, so even though I work with kids, it's like leaving myself wide open to germs.

Boring boring booooooring day at work!! Ugh!!

Its gotta be partly due to Passover/partly due to kids being off school for Easter week .. my office is a ghost town and I have 'busy work' to do but am procrastinating like nobody's business

I'm also bored and home sick (Rachel, just got home from doc and was diagnosed with sinus AND eye infection)

i agree about cooties on the train. I had to take the subway in from brooklyn to go to the doc, and every time i heard soeone sniffle or cough i cringed. its just disgusting.
