I ordered my dress in the color 'Pearl' because I am SOOOOO pale that white did not look right against my skin. I am so nervous I made the wrong decision. Can I do Ivory roses? What color shoes? Where so I get a veil to match? I am FREAKING OUT!!! I hope I didn't make a mistake!!!
Did/is anyone else not do a white gown? Are there any picture out there?

I have the same wedding date as you!
If it makes you feel any better, my dress is Ivory, and most of the weddings I have been to the brides have worn Ivory instead of white.
I bought white shoes and am going to get them dyed to match the dress.

Ok Girl...chill out! I know it is everyones dream to have a white gown but for us palies, we look to ghostly in it. I got a off white dress and i am IN LOVE with it! You can do anything with it and yes you can have ivory roses! It just looks best on us...mine even makes me look tan!!!!
As far as the veils are concerned, they have ivory ones...matches perfectly!
ANd the shoes, you get a swatch from you dress and you have it dyed! IT is SIMPLE..
Trust me you made the RIGHT decision!

Ivory is a beautiful choice. You will definitely be able to find nice accessories and flowers to go with...don't sweat it.

I am not doing white either.. it made me look horrible and PALE.. There are plenty of shoes/veils and flowers that will go beautifully with your gown.. see if you can get a swatch and bring it with you when you go look.. Where did you get your dress?? they should have veils that coordinate.. GOOD LUCK.. it will be beautiful..

Hi, You saw my daughter's pictures, right? She wore an antique ivory gown for the same reason you describe. I made her veil but ivory veils should be easy to find since ivory gowns are so popular. She even found ivory shoes. You did NOT make the wrong decision. You showed me your gown, remember? It's beautiful and you will look beautiful in it. Try not to worry.

Thanks Everyone!!! I was putting together some pictures to bring with me to the florist and all of I sudden I started having a panic attack about the color of my dress and how it would look with the flowers. I had a brief moment of insanity! Thanks for your kinds words!

Hi Mary. Try not to worry about decisions you have already made and can't change. Your first instincts were wonderful. You won't have any trouble with flowers. There are so many beautiful colors and varieties available. What colors are your BM's wearing? Take swatches with you and I'm sure your florist will have lots of suggestions for you. Good luck and keep us posted.

I wore a pearl dress. I had light peach roses in my BoK. I did not need to dye my shoes, they ended up matching perfectly. And, I got an ivory veil from David's Bridal and it matched PERFECTLY!

My dress was silk white which was a very soft white, near ivory. My girls wore black as did my groom and my flowers were all dark purple mini calla lillies. The women carried black magic roses. White matches everything as does ivory -- do not worry. Truth is for all the worry about this I have seen on these boards ie man wears white shirt, bride wears ivory dress...in pics it looks just fine. ENJOY

I just saw in your bio that you have a Mori Lee gown. Mine was also Mori Lee. So, you should be okay because I had absolutely NO problems with the pearl gown.
