I'm STILL here

Well, 1 day till 'D-DAY', and I'm still waiting.
I went to the dr. on Friday, and I'm still only 2cm dialated, but almost completely effaced.

I feel great, so I guess it's not going to happen anytime soon...

I'm still at my mom's. My house stinks like you couldn't even imagine from the floor chemicals (But the floors look amazing!). Patrick had to bring ALL of the baby's things that weren't in sealed containers or packages here to be washed because of the smell. WHAT A PAIN!

My wish is that the baby waits till tomorrow to join us, because by then I'll be able to bring it home to MY house. I love my family, but I really want to take the baby home to his/her own home. Does that make sense to you? I feel like I hurt my mom's feelings when I said that to her.

I totally understand that you'd want to experience this with your husband in your own house - I would want the same too.

Hopefully you're little one will wait one more day!

I know what you mean about wanting to bring the baby home to your own home. Especially mommy, you will need adjusting to your new schedule, and you'll just wanna be 'home sweet home'. I know our parents home are as 'homey' to us as it gets also, but coming home with a baby, you'll be doing alot of adjusting: physically, emotionally, hormonally, sleepily so you'll just wanna be home. But if it happens that you go to your moms, dont stress about it, it'll be special for her too

Jenn- I totally understand that you want the baby at your home first. That is exactly what I would want.
Heck- I don't even want tons of vistors the first day I am home.
