i'm such a 'girl'

dropped off our dog jake at 'daycare' today....we're having someone from the 'pet hotel' dog handle jake for the wedding ceremony (yep, he's our 'junior groomsman' ) :)

so we wanted him to meet the girl that's going to be his companion for the ceremony, and since he's going to stay over night at the pet hotel the night of the wedding, we figured he should get used to being in the place....they have play groups a few times a day, etc etc.

so of course, after i bring our scared lil boy, i get in the car, call FH and start crying!!! jeeeez!!! what's gonna happen when we have kids and i bring them to school for the first time??? LMAO!

i'm such a 'girl'

aww......I know how you feel!!

So let me ask you...your dog is going to be part of your ceremony and then the 'companion' is going to take him to the pet hotel?

I only ask because my dog can be part of our ceremony but the problem I have is that I don't have anyone to take him home after the ceremony and I don't want him to stay with me the entire day because then I will be focused on making sure he is ok and not enjoy the day.

I wonder if I can get a companion for him to take him home after the ceremony....hmmmmmm

we're using best in show. they have someone, laura, coming to our house when we're taking pics to pick up jake, bring him to harbor links for some pics and the ceremony, then bringing him to the pet hotel after the ceremony for the night. it's a good thing we went this route, cause our BM said a few weeks ago a couple had their dog (i think some sort of bulldog), and he ended up getting over heated, and the 'friend' that was suppose to take him home after the ceremony bailed on them....they were worried about their baby allll night and didn't enjoy the reception at all!!

so i'm glad we're spending the extra money to get a professional.....not just a 'dog walker', ya know?

the woman i spoke with, who gave me the quote, etc is jerri may, 516-742-0606. she works on the clinic side. see, another good thing about having professionals and having him stay overnight, is that, the gods forbid, jake gets sick, they have the clinic right there too.

Awwwww!

I cry every time he goes to 'camp' (that's what we call the kennel). The first time he was super excited when he saw all the dogs that he just ran off and wanted nothing to do with us. It was heartbreaking.

Don't get me started on how upset I was when we dropped him of at the vet when he got Neutered.....a complete mess!
