Im sure this has been posted before..but what did everyone tip their makeup artist?

Mine is coming to the hotel and my makeup will be 150. Would I tip 20%, like 30 bucks?

I believe 20% is sufficient...but, I'm not sure...I'm not up to this part yet...

I think I read here somewhere that if the person comes to you, you don't have to tip since they are making all the money you pay them (opposed to being in a salon where they earn a portion). But if you love the work they do you can have extra money on hand. Is it $150 for just your make-up? Does that include hair or other people?

the 15o covers only MY makeup..hair is a different person. I dont know what to do. She does work for herself..but i know she does an AWESOME job..I just dont know how much to tip.

20% is standard for services like that - just use that as a guide.

I thought that if it was an owner, you don't tip. The money is all going to her anyway. However, if you feel that she has done an amazing job, I think $30 is sufficient.

I gave about a 20-25% tip to my make up/hair person, who owns the business and who came to my house. She did a wonderful job, why wouldn't I tip her well?

I tipped mine a lot. It was $125 but I gave her $200.
She was the best, arrived early and did all my girls in quick fast time to perfection.
I gave her $75 b/c I wanted to cover just in case all my girls didn't tip.
But I think 15-20% is standard
