i'm taking bets on whether she'll come or not ...

i'm wondering if my dad's wife is going to come to my wedding ... honestly, i couldn't care less if she comes or not, but i do think it's kind of rude if she doesn't come (she should come and be there for my dad!)

she's not coming to my shower

so what do you gals think - will she come or not?

my dad's live-in gf actually spoke to me and said her and her son (who is 2.5 years old - not my dad's kid, very confusing) don't need to be invited/don't need to come because she doesn;t want to make anyone (read: my mom) uncomfortable and she will find another way to celebrate with us. I haven;t decided yet if I'm actually going to push it and have her come. I like her, I love her son, and they live together! But my mom is a bit nuts and it may just be easier to say yeah don't come.

Anyways, sorta close to your situation and sorry for hijacking your post with my story, but my bet is she won't come because she may feel uncomfortable and people tend to put their own needs before others sometimes.

first of all - no worries about hijacking the post
secondly - i would prob send your dad's gf an invitation anyhow ... you could speak to her that you totally understand if she doesn't come though. maybe you could also speak with your mom and see how she feels about it.
