I'm terrible

I'm terrible

I just added a bunch of over-priced items that I don't even want to my registry. Our registries were completely bought out and FH and I can not physically fit any more crap into our condo. I've already had a couple of calls about where we're registered though and I'm afraid that people will just buy us stuff anyway. So....I added more stuff to my BB&B registry so that I can return it for cash. Isn't that awful?

No, that's not awful. You don't want to hurt anyone's feelings- they don't need to know that you are going to return it for cash. I would probably do the same in your situation.

Are you positive BB&B will give you cash even w/o a receipt? The people at the store said that? Would hate for you to go there and then customer service say you get a store credit or you can do an exchange.

You are a BAD, BAD person Laura

You should be ASHAMED...

Honestly, I think you should give yourself a pat on the back for being so darn smart!!

I might end up doing that with a few things that we really are not going to need until about a year down the line when Vin gets into Med School and we either buy a co-op around here or move out of state for four years-- so, I can worry about getting some of that stuff later-- as of right NOW I need the money for the wedding There, I said it.

It's funny- I went out on the boat today with your Dad and Jodi (along w/ Vin of course) and we were talking about how Kenny and Nicole went to the store once to buy a Hero for his Birthday party and the woman at the Deli asked 'is it paid for?' and Nicole goes 'oh yeah, my Mom paid when she ordered it' and they were like 'Alrighty' LOL and they left, went home and told Tony-- and he was like 'Way to GO!!!!' Meanwhile, Jodi was like HORRIFIED... HAHA!!! It was SO funny-- we kept going through scenarios where Toni was like 'whatever, not my fault they made a mistake' and just reading your post about how you are like 'am I a bad person??!!' reminded me of that-- be more like Tony!!!

Can't wait to see you girl!!!

I did the same thing!! Tip: make sure its smaller stuff.. we had all of these HUGE gifts that we had intended on going back to BBB with to get cash and they were so bulky and annoying. A bunch of small, expensive stuff works better!

First of all, I'm EXTREMELY jealous that you got to go out on the boat. I'm really hoping that I have some time next week so we can go out too.

That sounds just like my father though, he's always happy when he gets away with something. I guess that's why I'm doing the same.

Great tip! I wonder if anyone will actually buy me that $300 Kitchenaid?

Thanks, but I've already returned several items because we realized that we didn't really need them or people bought more than what we registered for.

Are you sure they will let you return gifts for cash and not a credit slip? If it's cash then that is great!

Tony KILLS me-- he is so funny.

He must have told us about every 'I got away with something' story from his entire LIFE--- it was hysterical...

I can't blame you for being jealous-- it is such a beautiful boat and we had such a great time. Vinny is going to be racing w/ them now on Thursday's!!!! He is so happy...

He does not know the first thing about sailing lol but Tony is going to teach him and he is excited to have something to do aside from school, work, eat, sleep...

I do hope you get some time when you are home to go out and enjoy the boat... I'm home sick today but aside from today's terrible weather- lately, the weather here has been just gorgeous.

Can't wait for the wedding
