so i think i'm changing my church from st. dominic in oyster bay to st. raymond in lynbrook.
st. raymond has SO MANY positives that st. dominic doesn't have.
i don't know why i feel so sad about it though. here are the positives that st. raymonds has:
*can throw rose petals!! (only bubbles at st. dominic) *can start at 10 am instead of 1030 am *i can understand the priest! (don't like and can't understand the priest at st. dominic) *i LIKE the priest *will 'customize' the mass (have the ceremony at the END!!!) *my best friend maureen (johnny&maur), as well as my mom, got married there *i was baptized there
i just hope i'm doing the right thing. i don't know why i'm so unsure when it's obvious that st. raymond is so much better.
ahhhhh!!!!!! i need major support please! tell me i'm doing the right thing!

It sounds like you answered your own question, sounds like you have a gut feeling about St. Raymond, I saw trust your gut and GO with it! Its all about how you and FH feel and if you go with St. Raymond it may be one less thing you will have to stress about.

Carol..you are doing the right thing!! Look at all the positives...and like you said, i'm getting married there too :)
St. Raymonds is a beautiful church with very concerned and friendly pastors...and a priest who will take time to get to know you...
I think you're making the right decision. It'll be great!

After reading your reasons for wanting to change churches, I would go with your gut feeling. You want to be married in a church you feel comfortable with and can understand what is going on. Plus you have a past with the church being that you were baptized there. Hope this helps.

St. Raymond's is a beautiful church! my grandmother lives right up the block ha ha! You want to be in a church that you feel comfortable and I think its great that your family has had some special ceremonies there as well! Good luck!

We are getting married at St. Raymonds, it is my church...we were told no pedals....but maybe they changed it...what priest did u choose???
its a BEAUTIFUL church...and LONG aisle...
Ull be getting married a DAY after me!!!! We just did the pre-cana this past spring(we wanted to get it done with-bc of grad school)
