i'm thinking of using the color wine.........................

for my bridesmaid dresses. they will most likely be bill levkoff #966. i cant post that pic. do u think its too dark for a june wedding? do u also think it will match my dress?

I was planning on using wine myself and my wedding is June 1st. I was also thinking of using brown and pink.

I am having a July wedding, and I was thinking of using that color. I have seen pictures of other people using that color, and it is fine...but some people say it isn't appropriate for a summer wedding...but I disagree. It is your wedding...go for i t!!

I am using wine for my bm's dresses and it should look great with your dress. Since it is a dark color you can use a lighter color flower in the boq's, but most importantly you have to chose what makes you happy.

I am using it for an August Wedding...I am also using darker flowers. I was thinking the same thing, that they were too dark for summer but then I decided I don't care-I like it!

hey date twin! I was planning to use a wine color too! I think it's fine and a gorgeous color and yes, I think you can easily offset it with a lighter color in other places. i dont think its too dark for june at all.

Silly Karen did you forget I have the same dress in navy? Here it is! My sister did it for me but I have no idea how she managed it. Not sure if you want a white/ivory sash but here it is:

princessofci had navy dresses for her wedding- do a search for her, she posted her album not too long ago and the Levkoff navy looks great (she used a different dress though)

ETA: Here's a pic I found of her bridal party to show you how it looks in pictures (my sister did a photoshop thing on the Levkoff dress so you can never tell how accurate that is). She used a periwinkle sash. I think that looks awesome- you could also do platinum too (we considered that but we liked the contrast of navy and ivory. We chose ivory since my dress is diamond white).
